Who We Are

White Pelicans
Lahontan Conservation District is a legal subdivision of Nevada State Government that
is self-governed by locally elected supervisors who set priorities for Churchill County.
The District supervisors are Elbert Mills, Chairman;
Carl Erquiaga, Vice Chairman; Morena Heser,
Secretary/Treasurer; Norris Albaugh, Member;
Mike Baily, Member and Lynn Pierce, County
Commissioner.
The District works cooperatively with the US Department of Agriculture Natural
Resources Conservation Service. The Fallon NRCS office is staffed by Steve Herriman, Soil Scientist; and
Albert Mulder, Soil Conservationist Tech; and Craig McKnight, Soil
Conservationist Tech.
Examples of projects in which the District is involved are:
